36-meter high solar receiver (MSR) with a total weight of approximately 900 tons
Muhammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park is a solar park with an area of 77 km2 located in Seih Al-Dahal, about 50 km south of Dubai City. The power plant is being constructed by the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA).
The project plans a production capacity of 5,000 MW by 2030, with a total investment of 50 billion dirhams. Once completed, the plant is expected to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by more than 6.5 million tons per year. The Muhammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park is one of the largest renewable energy projects in the world based on the independent power producer (IPP) model. This long-term project will include a large-scale solar power plant to be built in three phases, with a concentrating solar power plant (CSP) to be built in the fourth phase.
