Joinville-le-Pont, Thursday, February 9, 2023 - KP1 Group, a specialist in prefabrication - responsible, sustainable floors and structures for all buildings, and Trimble France, supplier of Tekla Structures software and other construction solutions, have strengthened their strategic partnership agreement signed in 2021 and extended it to December 31, 2027.
This renewed collaboration confirms the accelerating use of new modeling technologies within the various activities of KP1 and its subsidiary KP1 Bâtiments. The model-based software solutions implemented, such as Tekla Structures (for BIM, structural engineering and manufacturing management) and Trimble Connect (for accessing and sharing information between the various players in a project) cover the entire design, engineering and execution process:
⦁ KP1 post-and-beam framed buildings, ⦁ structures incorporating the "Prémur KP1" integrated formwork wall process.
These tools enable us to model complete prefabricated systems, including concrete elements, their openings and reservations, reinforcement, lifting and shoring systems and various inserts, while integrating manufacturing and site constraints (maximum dimensions of prefabrication tables, capacity limits of on-site lifting equipment, etc.). They also optimize and rationalize KP1's production processes, from the design of models to the supply of data for the numerically controlled machines in the prefabrication units, including the information required for purchasing and invoicing.
In order to optimize the flexibility of use and management of Trimble solutions in KP1's production strategy, the group has chosen to replace its perpetual licenses with subscription licenses as part of the extension of its framework agreement with Trimble France.
For several years now, Trimble France's development teams have been working closely with KP1's technical and IT teams, offering solutions and tools adapted to the needs of all companies in the precast concrete industry for modeling complete precast systems.
