A former plumber and heating engineer trained by the Compagnons du Devoir, Maxence Deman joined Trimble's training teams five years ago. Here we meet a man with a passion for the trade, who believes there's always something to learn.
Maxence Deman's career path commands respect. This former plumber/heating engineer trained with the Compagnons du Devoir nearly 20 years ago: an experience which enabled him to multiply his experiences in different French companies at the start of his career. He went on to become site manager, design office technician and finally project manager within the same company.
His first experience with Trimble software came with one of his last projects in the execution field: the renovation of a Red Cross medical-educational institute in Saint-Jans-Cappel, in the Nord region of France. " I was in charge of the financial, technical and human aspects of the project," he explains. To carry out this mission successfully, he was supported not only by the in-house design office, but also by the site workers. And to coordinate the various interactions on site, Trimble Nova proved indispensable.
From first steps with Trimble Nova to the world of training
After 18 years as an apprentice and in the company, Maxence Deman wanted to go through the looking glass. Becoming a trainer at Trimble presented itself as a way of continuing his career in a way that suited him. "I wanted to share my know-how with professionals. I need to feel useful," Maxence explains. "What's more, this job offers me opportunities for travel, social interaction... Human contact is important."
Recently settled in Marseille, this native of Lille joined Trimble's training and technical support team five years ago. Currently a technician, trainer and demonstrator for the Trimble Nova solution, Maxence will be trained in Stabicad this year, to further develop his skills and help more and more customers.
