The Trimble Education Awards are organized by the Construction division of Trimble France S.A.S ("Trimble") to honor the know-how and initiatives of students and their educational institutions (collectively referred to as the "Candidate(s)") located in France (Metropolitan France and French overseas departments and territories) in the production and use of digital models created with :

Article 2. Prerequisites for participation
2.1
The Trimble Education Awards are open to students over the age of 18, from educational establishments and training centers, from Bac +2 to Bac +6 level, training for careers in the construction industry, building and public works.
2.2
Participation in the Trimble Education Awards is free of charge.
2.3
Each entrant must have Internet access and a valid e-mail address to participate in this contest. Each participant must have a Trimble account (Trimble Identity ("TID")) in order to access the Trimble Connect platform.
2.4
The e-mail address provided by each applicant must correspond to the Trimble account ID ("TID") that will be used to access the Trimble Connect platform during the application submission phase.
2.5
For participants who do not have SketchUp, Tekla Structures, Stabicad or Trimble Nova licenses as part of their school curriculum, Trimble may, on request at the time of registration, make Education licenses available for the duration of the competition.
Article 3. Jury organization and composition
3.1 An independent jury, made up of personalities who are not related to the participants, will deliberate and select the winners in the various categories. The jury will be made up of professionals specializing in the competition disciplines, journalists, teachers involved in BIM learning and experts from Sketchup, Tekla Structures, Stabicad and Trimble Nova.

3.5 The jury reserves the right to award a "Grand Prix" and a "Special Jury Prize".
3.6 The jury is sovereign. It analyzes the projects in the light of the evaluation criteria (see Article 4). It is not required to justify its decisions, which are final.
3.7 The jury also reserves the right not to designate a winner in a discipline if it finds that an insufficient number of applications have been received, or if their quality does not meet the criteria required for the designation of winners.

Article 5. Prize
5.1
The competition is endowed with a total sum of six thousand Euros (€6,000), which will be divided by the jury between the winners in the three disciplines: €2,000 for Architecture, €2,000 for Structures, €2,000 for Fluid Networks. The number of winners and the distribution of prizes will be decided by the jury.
5.2 Prizes will be awarded in the form of gift cards.
5.3 The winners of the Architecture competition will also receive a one (1) year subscription to the Studio version of the SketchUp software.

Article 8. Confidentiality clause
8.1 All competition entries and jury deliberations are confidential.
8.2 The members of the jury and any other persons who have had access to the application files are bound by strict confidentiality, particularly with regard to the content of the projects.
8.3 The members of the jury and the competition organizers cannot be held legally responsible for the protection of the ideas, project(s), files, models invented and proposed by the candidate or group of candidates, particularly if a publication reproduces protected work.
Article 9. Image Rights and Assignment of Copyrights
9.1 The candidate(s) must necessarily be the author(s) of the contributions they submit for participation in this contest. The candidate(s) declare(s) that they hold full, exclusive and legal ownership of all the rights covered by the present assignment and that they are consequently entitled to assign them within the framework of this competition without Trimble ever being concerned in this respect. In this respect, the candidate indemnifies Trimble against all amicable and contentious claims in respect of intellectual property rights and liability.
9.2 The candidate(s) acknowledge(s) and accept(s) that they have been informed that any Contribution submitted as part of this Competition must not infringe the rights of a third party, harm the reputation, dignity or integrity of a person, undermine the dignity, public morality or public order, or report or suggest any activity or act contrary to the provisions of any law or regulation which may constitute a criminal offence (by way of illustration, incitement to hatred, apology for terrorism, child pornography, promotions involving the use of tobacco, alcohol, narcotics or prostitution).
9.3 The candidate(s) accept(s) the rights of use, reproduction, exploitation by Trimble under the conditions provided in this Contest. Candidate(s) agree(s) to grant to Trimble, free of charge and on a non-exclusive basis, the intellectual property rights relating to the contribution to this contest as listed above:
9.4 The candidate(s) authorize(s) Trimble to exploit, use, publish and reproduce as part of its information, communication and advertising activities, with different audiences, in any form and media known and unknown to date, without any limitation, for an unlimited period, representations of the models (plans, 3D views, details), in full and in excerpts, including during public screenings, on all electronic communication networks (website, social networks eg : LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, YouTube and any other social network), on any medium (paper, digital, magnetic, optical, multimedia, videography, storage media) paper publications (magazines, activity reports), in commercial documents, sales presentations, in commercial videos, trade shows, public awards events. The candidate(s) authorize(s) Trimble to represent and distribute projects, present, and exhibit the submitted files in any media or trade show, regardless of the medium, that may deal with the Trimble Education Awards.
9.5 The candidate(s) authorize(s) Trimble to transform, adapt, modify the contributions for the needs of publication and networking, such as modification of model backgrounds, color, size, electronic format, particularly on the website and social networks, without this infringing on the moral rights of the author.
9.6 Expressly authorize Trimble the organizers to exploit, use and distribute, via all media, his/her surname, first name, place of study, as well as the characteristic elements of his/her activity and project, for a period of one (1) year following the end of the competition. They waive all rights to their image, solely for the purposes of this competition, and agree in advance to the distribution of photographs that may be taken during jury meetings and prize-giving ceremonies.
Article 10. Conditions of participation and commitment of candidates
10.1 Participation in the competition is free of charge and with no obligation to buy.
10.2 Registration is strictly nominative. Candidates may submit only one application per year.
10.3 Persons directly or indirectly involved in the organization of the competition may not participate in the Trimble Education Awards.
10.4 Material submitted for this contest will not be returned to the contestant. Trimble will not be held responsible for any material lost in shipment.
10.5
Trimble reserves the right to cancel the competition or to cancel one of the categories if the number of candidates or models is insufficient**.10.6** Trimble also reserves the right to change the closing date for competition entries. In this case, Trimble will inform the public on this site
10.7 Participation in the competition implies full acceptance of the provisions of these rules.
10.8 All Entrants to the Trimble Education Awards competition agree to :
Read and accept the present rules in full and without reservation. Such acceptance is evidenced by a checkbox on the entry form, the validation of which precedes submission of the Contribution.
Provide accurate information in the application file. If any or all of the information provided by the candidate is found to be untrue, he or she may be immediately eliminated from the competition with no right of appeal. Furthermore, any finalist who provides false information will have his/her prize cancelled and will be required to reimburse any cash prizes received, as well as any benefits in kind.
Article 11. Nominative and personal data

Article 12. Responsibilities and rights
12.1
Trimble reserves the right to modify, extend, shorten or limit access to the entry date(s)/time(s) or to suspend the home page of this contest in the event of technical difficulties or force majeure as defined by the provisions of the French Civil Code and in accordance with the interpretation of French case law. Consequently, Trimble cannot be held liable in the event of force majeure.
12.2
Trimble cannot be held responsible for fraudulent use of connection rights or attribution to a participant of this contest.
12.3
Trimble cannot be held responsible in the event of malfunction of the Internet network, telephone lines or reception equipment preventing the smooth running of this contest. Trimble cannot be held responsible for problems with the routing or loss of electronic mail or material when such events result from circumstances beyond Trimble's reasonable control.
12.4
Trimble cannot be held responsible for technical failures, anomalies, hardware and software of any kind (viruses, bugs, etc.) caused on the registrant's system, their computer equipment and the data stored on it, and for the consequences that may arise on their personal, professional or commercial activity.
Article 13. Attribution of competence
13.1
These rules are governed by French law.
13.2
In the event of any dispute or claim regarding this contest for any reason whatsoever, the parties will endeavor to reach an amicable agreement in good faith. In pursuit of this objective, any claim by a participant must be made in writing, in French, to Trimble's address above.
13.4
Failing amicable agreement between the Parties, any dispute relating to these Rules shall be brought before the competent courts of Paris - France.
13.5
These rules are drawn up in French.
