As part of the renovation of Peugeot's historic former headquarters, general contractor Eiffage Construction has awarded Viry the contract to create the glass roofs for the project.
Built in 1964, the 110 m-long building, formerly the historic headquarters of Peugeot PSA Citroën, underwent extensive restructuring to give it a new identity, while preserving its structure and façade.
Located in the immediate vicinity of the Arc de Triomphe and Porte Maillot, the project involves the complete restructuring of the 4-building complex.
The Agora is sheltered by a 460 m² glass roof. Located on the R+3 level, the low-sloped pyramid-shaped glass roof is set between three buildings and rests on a diamond-shaped metal structure.
Two other glass roofs on the R+3 terrace of the new 'Folie' building are composed of successive bands of roof modules.
A clamping fastening system developed by our design office, with site approval, facilitated the installation of the 191 impressive 2.9 m x 1.7 m glass volumes.
Blank assembly in the workshop enabled easy installation and assembly of the framework, while guaranteeing perfect overall geometry.
A methodical logistical organization was deployed to ensure just-in-time delivery of the various components and the provision of work areas, despite the very limited space available and multiple co-activities.
GECINA is committed, along with all its companies, to a triple certification process: HQE exceptional level - LEED - WELL, as well as the BiodiverCity© label.
